Doug Whaley loves stating the obvious

Bills General Manager Doug  loves making millions of dollars from managing a NFL football team, but does not think humans should be playing the sport. On radio today, Whaley said, "It's a violent game that I personally don't think humans are supposed to play." Well Doug, then why are you the manager of a 90+ roster of NFL Football team?

The NFL easily produces the highest revenue of any professional sport, raking in billions of dollars each year while millions of people are attending and watching games all around the world. With NFL games starting to be played in London and Mexico this upcoming season, the game is going to expand even further.

If these comments are going to be made, we can't just single out the game of football. Yes football is a violent sport, there is no doubt about it. There is nothing humane about a 200 pound running back being tackled by 300-400 pound men. But we as humans are always doing illogical things. You may say it is not safe to play football, but it is also not safe to be scarfing down 1,000 calorie cheeseburgers and milkshakes, climbing Mount Everest, and jumping out of planes and skydiving. The NFL is a money sport. While the love for the game is definitely still there, many of these players are playing for the money and for the ability to provide a good life for themselves and their families. The players know that there is still possibility of injury or death, but they choose to play anyways. Whether some may like it or not, the game of football is not going anywhere.
